Event: Making Capital Work for the Climate

Estimates are that New Zealand needs at least $34 billion in additional investment by 2035 for its net-zero transition. With the Government cutting lots of climate policies, it is critical that private capital steps forward.

But how do we make that happen, especially in the midst of the so-called ESG backlash? How real is this backlash, and what needs to change to make capital work for the climate? Are our legal settings fit for purpose?

We're holding a hybrid online/in-person event to explore these topics at 5.30pm on Wednesday 9 October. If you're in Auckland, join us at the Sustainable Business Network offices for drinks and nibbles - doors open at 5pm, and we'll kick off the panel discussion at 5.30 pm.

We have a fantastic selection of panellists already lined up - including Rohan MacMahon (Partner, Climate VC fund), Katie Beith (Head of ESG, Forsyth Barr), and Barry Coates (Co-CEO of Mindful Money), and chaired by Jessica Palairet.
